Volunteer Program

Looking for Volunteer Opportunities in the community?
Army Community Service (ACS) gets you started!

Volunteer 101: Provides an overview of volunteering within the U.S. Army, what types of volunteers opportunities you should look for and the benefits of volunteering. We finish by going over the Volunteer Management Information System (VMIS) and current volunteer opportunities available in the garrison.

OPOC Training: Organization Point of Contact (OPOC) training on volunteer management. During the course, we discuss the types of volunteer organizations found within the garrison, recruitment and retention of volunteers, duty descriptions, supervision and recognition and how to manage volunteers in the Volunteer Management Information System (VMIS) now hosted on Army Family Web Portal.

Contact your local ACS office for more information and to register.
